Community Partners

First United Methodist Church

Granbury First United Methodist Church purchases food weekly from the Tarrant Area Food Bank which they deliver to Ruth's Place Food Pantry, located at the Ruth's Place Outreach Center, for distribution on Tuesdays.

First Christian Church

Members of the First Christian Church are very active at the Outreach Center by volunteering, providing a variety of programs throughout the year, assisting our Director when needed, and by donating to Ruth's Place. 

Granbury Drug

When patient options are few due to cost and availability, Granbury Drug works with Ruth's Place Clinic to provide reasonable pricing for required prescriptions.

Granbury Independent School District 

Ruth's Place Clinic partners with GISD and Operation School Supplies to provide sports / activity physicals for students required to have these.

Weatherford College

Medical Assistant and RN students perform clinical rotations at the Clinic as they prepare to graduate.


Hood County Indigent Program

The Hood County Hospital District and LGMC oversee and manage a program designed to cover medical costs of Hood County residents that are in urgent medical situations that they cannot financially handle.  Unlike Ruth's Place Clinic, the program has strict income application criteria.  However, when qualified, the program can assist with surgeries, chemotherapy, and much more extensive care.



The Clinic staff perform lab draws and  when patients require more comprehensive workups. LabCorp provides the lab testing services.


Lake Granbury Medical Center

Lake Granbury Medical Center provides diagnostic imaging for Ruth's Place Clinic patients.  Since the Clinic does not have imaging equipment, LGMC performs x-rays, ultrasounds, CTs, and MRIs that are ordered.  In addition, the Clinic works closely with LGMC's  Case Management Team and Emergency Department to make certain that uninsured Hood County residents followup to receive the care that will help them recover.

Moncrief Cancer Institute 

Uninsured female patients, 35 and older, may qualify to receive free or low-cost clinical breast exams and mammograms here in Hood County.  Ruth's Place Clinic also hosts its mobile unit to provide cancer screenings for Hood County residents.  


Texas Christian University

Ruth's Place has an education affiliation with TCU for Family Nurse Practitioner students to complete clinical rotations at the Clinic.  Students perform obtain valuable hands-on experience helping provide medical care for patients, under supervision of physicians.


 Texas Health Resources 

Uninsured patients may qualify for the "Wellness for Life" program offering  mammograms on-site in its mobile unit hosted by the Clinic.

Texas Tech University

Ruth's Place Clinic, with the supervision of Pharmacist, Gamze Strain, benefits from 4th year Pharmacy student clinical rotations.  On a regular basis, the on-site pharmacy is inventoried, expired product is appropriately discarded, and reorders are itemized.

United Way of Hood County

Ruth's Place is a proud Partner Agency of the United Way of Hood County.  United Way provides annual allocations to many local agencies.  Ruth's Place is thankful for United Way's generous financial support that provides a portion of its annual operating budget.  As a result of their support, Ruth's Place can ensure everyone has access to affordable healthcare care and social services.​
