Flu Vaccines
Mammograms
Cancer Screenings
Ruth's Place is able to administer flu shots during flu season if available. Patients can receive flu vaccines at the Clinic during regular office hours during flu season and as vaccines are available. Donations are appreciated to help the clinic with the cost of the vaccines.
Because of a collaborative effort with Moncrief Cancer Institute and Texas Health Resources, Ruth's Place is able to offer clinical breast exams and mammograms.
Both agencies facilitate complete patient navigation for anyone who needs further testing or treatment after the initial exam.
Ruth's Place Clinic partners with Moncrief Cancer Institute and Texas Health Resources to host state-of-the-art health screenings. Both partners have fully-enclosed mobile screening units equipped to screen for skin, prostate, Hepatitis C, and colon cancer.
On-Site Lab & Medications
Fasting and other blood work can be performed on-site, as can most lab tests. If more extensive tests are required, patients are sent to an outside lab.
Samples and other prescriptions, including over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, are stored in the Clinic's secured medication room.
Partnerships with Lake Granbury Medical Center and Touchstone Imaging provide for diagnostic imaging that may be ordered (x-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI).
Pharmaceutical Assistance
Ruth's Place Clinic is sensitive to the high cost of many prescription medicines. Our providers work hard to use the "$4 drugs" offered at local pharmacies.
When specialty medications are required, connections are made with drug manufacturers and humanitarian organizations to obtain them at lower costs for patients who qualify for this program.
A generous partnership with Granbury Drug assists when options are limited for patients.
Food Pantry
During this COVID-19 pandemic, food is provided on a daily schedule as needed and as available. Please call Mia at the Outreach Center office for more information.

In addition to serving lunch, Ruth's Place staff and various organizations provide activities focused on character building, nutrition education, and providing positive adult role models.
ESL & Life Skills Classes
Various Days & Times
Ruth's Place collaborates with area instructors, Cooks Children's, and others to host classes for adults as well.
English as a Second Language (ESL) instructors assist students in learning to read, write, and comprehend English. Parent Cafe with Cooks Children's provides critical parenting skills. Cooking classes offer cost-effective and healthier options for families.
The goal is to improve opportunities for employment, overall well being, and informed decision making.
