Outreach Center
Ruth's Place Outreach Center offers an afterschool and summer literacy program, as well as many community outreach classes and gatherings including a Teen Mental Health Group and Parent Cafe.
RPOC literacy programs provide students with intentional reading help in a safe, structured environment. Students enjoy a healthy snack, receive tutoring, play games & sports, create crafts, and more! Hours of operation are in alignment with the GISD school calendar. The afterschool literacy program operates Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm - 5:30pm during the school year.

Staff are available Monday through Thursday 10:00am - 6:00pm.

During the summer months, RPOC serves as a summer lunch program pick-up location for school age children who experience food insecurity. In addition, the staff and community organizations provide activities focused on character building, nutrition education, and providing positive adult role models.
