Outreach Center

Ruth's Place Outreach Center is a neighborhood recreation site providing programs in partnership with Baccus Elementary. RPOC aims to provide students with a after school reading program in a safe, structured environment to complete schoolwork, enjoy a healthy snack, receive needed tutoring, play games & sports, create crafts, and more!

Hours of operation are in alignment with the GISD school calendar, operating Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm until 5:30pm during the school year.

During the summer months, the Center serves as a summer lunch program location for school age children who experience food insecurity without the assurance of a school lunch. In addition, the staff and community organizations provide activities focused on character building, nutrition education, and providing positive adult role models.
