KRISTIN BILLINGTON - Executive Director
Kristin is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization, staff, and volunteer supervision, clinical oversight, and Community Outreach programs. She ensures that both the Clinic and RPOC align with the overall mission, plans, policies, and budget of the non-profit organization.
GABRIELA GAMEZ - Assistant Executive Director
Gabriela is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the organization, staff, and volunteer supervision, clinical oversight, and Community Outreach programs. She ensures that both the Clinic and RPOC align with the overall mission, plans, policies, and budget of the non-profit organization.
ADULT PRIMARY CARE
ROMEO BACHAND, JR., M.D., Ph.D. - Medical Director/Volunteer Physician
Dr. Bachand is Board Certified in Forensic Medicine and Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. He has been practicing medicine for 40 years, during which time he has led numerous medical mission trips to Mexico, the Honduras, Ethiopia, and Haiti.
MARGE GRAMTHAM, FNP-BC, RN, MSN
Marge is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with training from the San Diego State University and the University of Texas at Arlington. She relocated from Minnesota to be with family after working for the Mayo Clinic for 15 years in the Division of Primary Care Internal Medicine. Her favorite activities are dancing, gardening, baking, and reading.
ADDITIONAL ADULT HEALTHCARE
NICOLE MUELLER, D.O. - Volunteer Ophthalmologist
Dr. Mueller is a comprehensive ophthalmologist. She evaluates and treats most eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, cataracts, and dry eyes. She is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmologists.
NANCY SORRELL, O.D. - Volunteer Optometrist
Dr. Sorrell graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2017 and completed her residency in low-vision rehabilitation in 2018. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
PEDIATRIC PRIMARY CARE
RIC BONNELL, M.D., and WENDY BONNELL, M.D. - Volunteer Physicians
Drs. Bonnell are Board Certified Pediatricians. Ric Bonnell, M.D., teaches at the Texas Christian University and is Medical Director for the Juvenile Detention Center in Granbury. Wendy Bonnell, M.D., has experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. In addition to being parents of eight children, they volunteer time to care for indigent patients in Haiti.
LISA LEWIS, M.D. - Volunteer Physician
Dr. Lewis is a Board Certified Pediatrician and published author. She was born and raised in Texas, and enjoys writing, traveling, nature walks, and spending time with her family.

A variety of healthcare professionals provide vital services to the uninsured residents of Hood County. Ruth's Place Clinic volunteers contribute in meaningful, sustainable ways and are an integral component of providing this much needed care.
Non-Healthcare Volunteers
Community leaders, individuals, and even former patients provide support functions that allow the Clinic and Outreach Center to operate smoothly. Many are retired from other industries but possess talents and skills that assist the healthcare professionals and staff.
